Exhaust hoods: PLEIN COMPENSATING
EXTRACTOR HOOD WITH BUILT-IN AIR SUPPLY. PERFECT FOR CLOSED KITCHENS OR AIR-CONDITIONED SPACES, WITH A TOP PLENUM AND AIR SUPPLY DEFLECTOR.
This type of extractor hood is simply an industrial PLEIN hood with a second plenum used to supply air from the outside. This plenum will be installed on the top of the extractor hood and it will have a series of double-deflection grilles to drive the air flow to the correct position. In addition, the system has a flow adjustment device to stabilise the flow throughout the hood’s structure.
This type of extractor hood is recommended when the following conditions are met:
- Kitchens with insufficient ventilation, no windows or not enough access points. The air would have no place to enter the room, causing strong turbulence.
- Air-conditioned rooms. In these rooms, it is clear that the air extracted through the extractor hood should not extract the air driven through the air-conditioning system, which would cause unwanted energy and economic costs.
- In the installations where the food is cooked for public in a large dining room space (Show cooking, buffet, etc.).
